Bruce Lee along with other boosters like Chuck Norris took the martial arts and the combat arts to the big screen, putting this sport at the mercy of those who wanted to enjoy without leaving home, the strokes and acrobatic jumps that inspired thousands of young people throughout the world. Between 1970 and 1973 many meetings were held in the United States, but the rules were still not well defined. At first karate full contact and kickboxing were basically the same thing. The official separation took place in September 1974, when in Los Angeles Mike Anderson, Don and Judy Quine formed the PKA (Professional Karate Association) and, later in 1976, Howard Hanson created the World Kickboxing Association (WKA). The impact of WKA on combat gear worldwide was revolutionary. WKA was the first organization in the world to establish classification systems and development programs.
