Kickboxing comes from one of the oldest fighting gear known to man. In his practice blows of wrists, legs, elbows and knees, allowed alone or combined in sequences are allowed. It aims to immobilize the opponent or score as much as possible. Because over the ages many theories have been sketched on the beginning of this art, we understand to be more comprehensive, to analyze three different strands. As an art of war:Kickboxing was used as a fighting, survival and power tool. It goes back to the appearance of the Thai people that today has more than 2000 years of existence. Taking as a starting point the muay thai, we will make a historical trip to the origins of this art, based on a version mostly accepted by Thai masters and historians.
The Thai people are descended directly from a population of ancient Mongolian warriors from Yunnam province, a town bathed by the Yangtze River in central China. This people migrated from the region where China is currently situated, where Thailand is now, in search of fertile land for cultivation. They also fled from Chinese expansionism which already possessed a formidable military power. On this trip the Thais were harassed and suffered many attacks by bandits and feudal lords, owners of the lands they passed through. Faced with the few resources they had, they organized themselves into militias to ensure they could cope with their opponents and move on. In this way, the first organized groups were born that mechanized fighting techniques appropriate to each situation. To these fighting techniques from that time, they called "chupasart." It was a method of fighting and practicing hand to hand, but where they also used swords, knives, spears, batons, shields, axes, bow and arrow, to better face some opponents. The end of the first millennium d .C was lived and these populations agglomerated according to origins, in several states. The best known were the Thai State, the Mon State, the Khmer State and the Malaysian State. As might be expected, one would try to dominate the rest. It happened with the Khmer who began to spread frontiers trying to dominate first who was nearest, followed by those who were farther away. With time and conquests, they formed an empire that came to dominate the other populations. The Khmer Empire beyond the invasion also brought development and technology to the region. Led by the monarch Suryavarman II who controlled local agriculture, they fed populations that were channeled to wars of conquest and to the construction of Angkor Wat, the largest temple in the capital. At present this temple is part of the complex of temples built in the area of Angkor, the ancient capital of the empire. It covers an area of 200 km², although at the beginning it had an extension of 3000 km² and a population which must have been composed of half a million inhabitants, making it the largest population center of mankind in the pre-industrial era.
