The struggle dates back more than 3000 years BC, portrayed in caves by very explicit paintings. Boxing was first considered an Olympic sport in the year 688 BC at the 23rd Olympics of Antiquity. His winner was Onnomastus of Smyrna, who set the rules for the sport. After this apparition, it falls into oblivion resurfacing only later in the 1904 Summer Olympics in St. Loius. From then on it reappears in all editions, except in 1912, for this year the event was held in Sweden, a country where legislation at the time prohibited the practice of this sport. This event led the Baron de Coubertin, a French pedagogue and historian of the time, who went down in history as founder of the Olympic Games of the modern era, to approve in the International Olympic Committee a resolution that diminished the power of the host country on the organization of games .
